The slings mainly include metal slings and synthetic fiber slings. Metal slings mainly include: wire rope slings, chain slings, etc. Synthetic fiber slings mainly include: ropes and belt slings made of nylon, polypropylene, polyester.

The slings mainly include metal slings and synthetic fiber slings. Metal slings mainly include: wire rope slings, chain slings, etc. Synthetic fiber slings mainly include: ropes and belt slings made of nylon, polypropylene, polyester, high-strength and high-modulus polyethylene fibers.

When selecting the sling specifications, the size, weight, shape, and the lifting method to be used must be taken into consideration. Also the ultimate working load and the type of load must be considered. It is necessary to select a sling of the appropriate length that has sufficient capacity and can be used. If multiple slings are used simultaneously to lift the load, must use the same type of sling; the material of the flat sling cannot be affected by the environment or load.

1. Before using the sling, check the certificate and tested it to confirm the safety.

2. During the operation, the lifting point must be confirmed according to the weight, volume and shape of the lifting object and the select the right sling.

3. When using the snap ring, before lifting, check whether the closing pin is tightened. Do not use cracked, deformed snap rings. It is strictly forbidden to repair the snap ring by welding.

4. Wire ropes that have one of the following conditions shall not be used: 1) The wire rope diameter is reduced by 7% to 10%. 2) The number of broken wires in one pitch exceeds 10% of the total number.

5. One of the following conditions the lifting chain should be scrapped: 1) crack; 2) plastic deformation, elongation up to 5% of the original length; 3) chain diameter wear up to 10% of the original diameter.

6. It is strictly forbidden to use slings for overload.

7. Unmarked slings are not confirmed and may not be used.

8. Sling components are required to be inspected regularly.

9. Deformed lifting components  shouldn't be repaired and reused.

10. Slings are forbidden to be thrown.

11. Do not pull from under the heavy object or let heavy objects roll on the sling.

12. When lifting square and angular objects, the iron jacket must be added, and the slings should not be direct contact with the corners of the objects.

13. Precautions for lifting the plate; 1) When the steel plate with a lifting area of more than 6 square meters,  lifting welded link must be used instead of clamps. 2) The thickness of the sheet used to make the lifting lugs shall not be less than 16mm. 3) Lifting poles must be used for lifting steel plates with a length of more than 6 meters. 4) When lifting two or more sheets, it is necessary to use a fixture or special tools.

14. It is forbidden to hoist with a single sling.

15. When the components are assembled and welded, it is forbidden to place them upside down.

16. For pipes with a diameter greater than 100 MM, it is forbidden to transport more than two layers, and no active blocks should be used at the bottom.

17. When lifting components, the components are strictly prohibited from passing over the heads of workers.

18. The webbing sling can only be used with the area painted, other areas must not be used.
